Bespak, one of the leading suppliers of drug delivery technologies and services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, have recently used Mallard Air Handling Units (AHU’s) at two of their sites within the UK. As further proof of Mansfield Pollards total solution package, VAC, Vibration and Acoustic Control also supplied matched silencers.

Glossop based Thermal Transfer Ltd. Specified Mallard and VAC for projects in both Milton Keynes and Kings Lynn secure in the knowledge that the two companies would work together to deliver the complete solution.

For Milton Keynes Mallard designed, manufactured and supplied six identical AHU’s for a clean room application, The six AHU’s were designed to handle 20 cubic metres per second complete with a service corridor to the side of each unit which housed pipework, motor inverter and humidifier connections. The AHU’s, were bolted together on site, with a DW 144 Class C leakage test being carried out prior to final commissioning of the completed installation.

Thermal Transfer again specifed Mallard for the clean room application at the Bespak Kings Lynn plant where three identical units, each designed to handle 12 cubic metres per second, were successfully installed. The finished units, complete with in built attenuators and matched duct mounted silencers supplied by VAC, were once again completed on site with a DW 144 Class C leakage test following assembly.
