Mansfield Pollard divisions, Cantech Kitchen Ventilation and Mallard Air Systems, both supplied significant amounts of equipment for the prestigious new Hull Community Super Stadium, home of Hull City FC.
The £44 million stadium has been designed with state of the art facilities for all types of sport and provides seating for 25000 spectators. Corporate accommodation includes 28 executive boxes, a 500 seater restaurant overlooking the pitch and banqueting and hospitality suites.
Cantech provided 15 bespoke stainless steel canopies, 2 in the main kitchen, 1 in the finishing kitchen and 12 for the surrounding Concessions areas on the upper and lower concourses. For added protection 8 of the canopies were designed and fitted with Ansul fire suppression systems. Working closely with mechanical consultants TME and mechanical contractors Hilton Building Services Cantech ensured that the completed installation was delivered on schedule and manufactured in accordance with HVCA Standards DW171.
Mallard air systems, were commissioned to supply 24 air handling units for the fresh air ventilation on the project. The building programme for the project meant that the first batch of units were required on an extremely short three week delivery schedule. Mallard not only supplied the first batch on time but continued to meet the schedules set for the £90k order. The units supplied had volumes ranging from 0.5m per second up to 10m per second and supplied fresh air ventilation to all areas of the stadium.
